The church has an amazing opportunity to show Christ to this very needy world. We also have a great responsibility to our young people to nurture and grow them in the faith. This is not just for our youth; this applies to everyone who is a part of Forest Grove. We are beginning a Wednesday Evening Series called "Building the Faith" that will help us carry out that part of the Great Commission.
We are not just focusing on our youth. This theme verse that we selected has a couple of good thoughts. First, we are to "Live as citizens of heaven". This is a reminder to us that we are not created for this present world. God has something far greater in store for His own. Secondly, we must stand together with one spirit and one purpose. We stand side by side to defend the faith, as our Motto states. "Earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints." Jude 3
We must fight for what is right. We must stand true to the Word of God. We must fight together for the faith - earnestly contend. Here at Forest Grove, our desire is that God is pleased with each of our lives and that we are showing the Gospel by our examples.
Let us Stand and Fight together for the Gospel of Christ. As Paul wrote in Romans, If God is for us, who can stand against us? The response is no one. God will be victorious. Join us as we build each other up and defend the Gospel of Christ - together.
We serve an amazing God. Our purpose here at Forest Grove can be summed up with the following: Loving the Lord, Growing in Grace and Completing the Commission. We are a loving family of believers who strongly believe in the church family. God has blessed us with abundant love and life. It's our duty and responsibility to love God back and share that love with others.
We invite you to come be a part of who we are as a family of believers. Join us in Loving the Lord through our worship. Come Grow in Grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Then be a part of our mission as we Complete the Commission. Together we can do the work of the Lord faithfully. Let's be faithful to His love.
